Share the Gospel
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
A quick and simple way to share the Gospel
Pushed for time? The ‘Roman’s Road’ approach is a quick, simple way to share the Gospel. Present the verses in order, and expound a little on each one as you go.
The underlines have been added as suggested words to emphasise within the verse.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: – Romans 3:10
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; – Romans 3:23
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: – Romans 5:12
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 6:23 (Revelation 20:14-15, 21:8)
NOTE: Go to the Revelation verses if you feel the need to explain sin a bit more.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation … For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. – Romans 10:9-10, 13
As you grow as a Christian, learn to share Jesus with others
- Do you sometimes forget a Bible verse when witnessing to someone?
- Do you ever wish you could have more Bible verses memorised for sharing the gospel with different types of people with different beliefs?
- Does your mind ever ‘go blank’ when someone challenges you about a particular life or death topic?
Check out the links on this page* to ‘Soulwinning Tips’ for some Bible verses and answers to common objections. It’s not an exhaustive list or concordance of every verse related to a lost person’s possible beliefs, but it should be a good start for you to be able to engage with them about what Jesus has done.
The information is based on many years of personal experience dealing with, witnessing to, and observing people in those religions or with those beliefs. However, every person is different, and should be treated as an individual, and with no preconceived ideas of how that particular person will act.
